Keeper released from hospital with all clear

Bala Town's goalkeeper Mark Pullman Bala Town's goalkeeper Mark Pullman was released from Chester hospital on Friday evening and thankfully given the all-clear after an injury in the League Cup match against Airbus UK.

The 20-year old 'keeper suffered a bad concussion and was unconscious for over five minutes, following a challenge with players of both teams, just two minutes into his Lakesiders' debut. After a long stoppage, Pullman was taken to the Medical Room at the Airfield and was treated by Airbus UK's doctor Tim Watkin-Jones.

His replacement Terry McCormack, was then sent-off and he accompanied the confused Pullman to hospital in the ambulance. Bala boss Colin Caton, whose side slipped to a 4-1 first-leg defeat, confirmed that his rookie 'keeper was discharged later that evening.

Caton will now be in the market to sign another 'keeper before next weekend's Welsh Cup clash with Pullman injured and McCormack suspended.

Bala Town secretary Ruth Crump praised their opponents in stating; "The doctor and officials at Airbus were brilliant throughout."
