Newtown’s development continued as they beat the Champions at the Paveways Latham Park on Saturday. Sean Evans’s goal 3 minutes after the restart secured the points for the Robins. This defeat sees TNS slip down to second place in the Corbett Sports WPL.

Airbus are back at the top of the Corbett Sports WPL after TNS’s defeat at Newtown and James Owen’s 90th minute winner at the Deeside Stadium. Sam Hart’s 20th minute effort put the visitors ahead but Mike Hayes struck back for the Nomads just after the hour mark. James Owen broke the home supporter’s hearts in injury time and sent his team back to the top of the table. The Nomads are now 3 points away from safety at the foot of the table.

Bangor came from two down to secure an exciting victory at the Book People Stadium.
Stu Jones headed Bala ahead in the opening 3 minutes and Kieran Smith doubled the advantage 10 minutes later to give Bala a dream start – but halfway through the opening period – local lads Siôn Edwards and Les Davies with a cracker levelled things up.
Jamie Petrie (74) and Anthony Miley’s (77) goals in the final quarter secured an important victory for the Citizens.

Yn y chwatrer olaf rhwydodd Jamie Petrie ac Anthony Miley’r goliau bocedodd y triphwynt i Fangor.

Neither club will be particularly happy with a point – but it was an enthralling encounter at Bastion Gardens which saw both teams hit the woodwork and have efforts cleared off the line. This result keeps Rhyl in the top 6 but Prestatyn are 4 points adrift at present.

Martin Rose gave the home supporters plenty to cheer about after 29 minutes and set the Steelmen on their way to a victory which keeps their faint Top 6 aspirations alive. Gethin Jones doubled their advantage in the dying seconds of the opening period and second half goals by Lewis Harling and Rhys Griffiths (x2) completed the victory. Chrysanthou gave the Lido some respectability after 72 minutes but Scott McCoubrey was sent off with 2 minutes remaining as was Casey Thomas in injury time.
