The New Saints will take on Prestatyn Town tomorrow in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League at Park Hall stadium.
Craig Harrison’s side have won their last six league games and will be determined to keep the wonderful run going but unfortunately are still unable to call upon both Steve Evans and Scott Ruscoe.
The former Premier League defender will be looking for revenge against Prestatyn and said, ‘They have traditionally given us tough games and Neil Gibson has done fantastically well. He has taken them from the Cymru Alliance and into Europe and has got himself a good team. On paper they have a lot of experience and have Andy Parkinson and Sean Hessey who have played a number of English league games. Tommy Holmes is there as well, so it is going to be a difficult game. I have been banging on to the lads this week about our only defeat this season which came against them and I felt we did enough to win the game that day. We are playing really well at the moment but we will not be taking anything for granted.’
Managed by Lee Jones, the club was founded in 1910 and play their home games at Bastion Gardens.
Prestatyn are the only side to have beaten The Saints in the WPL this season after a wonderful Lee Hunt goal gave The Seasiders the points, in a game that was marred by a bad injury to Chris Marriott.
The last time that the clubs faced each other at Park Hall stadium was back in March and the Oswestry based side came out on top, thanks to a goal from Matty Williams and a brace from Mike Wilde.
The referee for the game will be Mr B Markham-Jones.
At half time, The New Saints will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘Most people keeping a football in the air’.
To take part in this challenge all you will need to do is turn up at the start of the football match with your own football and at half time you will be allowed onto the pitch. (NO BALL, NO ADMITTANCE).
All young people and children that turn up to take part with their own football, will get FREE ENTRY into the stadium.
The match will kick off at 14:30pm and tickets are available from the link below.
