Saturday Wins for Carmarthen and Prestatyn

Carmarthen Town (Caerfyrddin) 2 Bala 0

Carmarthen consolidated their third position in the table on Saturday as they completed the double over Bala Town. Having won 4-2 at Maes Tegid in October the Old Gold again put the Lakesiders to the sword and Christian Doidge led the way for the Richmond Park outfit.
It only took 10 minutes for the striker to open the score his 8th League goal of the season which took him to the top of the scoring charts. Cortez Belle’s 66th minute effort doubled the advantage for the home side.
This result keeps Colin Caton’s men in the relegation zone.
Wedi eu hail fuddugoliaeth dros Y Bala o fewn mis mae Caerfyrddin yn parhau yn y trydydd safle yn Uwch Gynghrair Cymru-Corbett Sports.

Port Talbot 1 Prestatyn 2

Prestatyn came from behind to beat nine man Port Talbot thanks to two second half goals from Lee Hunt at the GenQuip Stadium on Saturday.
Following Lewis Harling’s 30th minute dismissal for a second bookable offence it seemed unlikely that the Steelmen would take the lead but Rhys Griffiths’ late first half effort – his 4th goal of the season – put Port Talbot ahead.
12 minutes after coming on to the field of play as a second half substitute – Guillem Bauza was also sent for an early shower for illegal use of an elbow and the Seasiders claimed a 74th minute equaliser through Lee Hunt. The striker joined Christian Doidge of Carmarthen at the top of the scorer’s chart as he slotted home his 84th minute penalty to claim the 3 points for the Seasiders.
Neil Gibson was red carded in the technical having just returned from a suspension.
Ar ôl bod ar ei hôl hi – llwyddodd Prestatyn i guro 9 dyn Port Talbot ar y GenQuip diolch i ddwy gôl ail hanner Lee Hunt.
Pan ddanfonwyd Lewis Harling o’r maes wedi hanner awr o chwarae – ‘roedd prynhawn anodd ar y gorwel i’r clwb cartref – ond yn eiliadau olaf yr hanner cyntaf rhwydodd Rhys Griffiths ei bedwaredd gôl o’r tymor roddodd Port Talbot ar y blaen.
12 munud wedi dod i’r maes fel eilydd danfonwyd Guillem Bauza am gawod gynnar am ddefnyddio’i benelin a doedd hi’n ddim syndod pan rwydodd Lee Hunt gôl wedi 74 munud yn erbyn y 9 dyn.
Hawliodd y blaenwr ei ail o’r prynhawn o’r smotyn gyda 6 munud yn weddill a sicrhaodd hynny y fuddugoliaeth i’w glwb.Mae Hunt bellach ar frig rhestr y sgorwyr gyda Christian Doidge o Gaerfyrddin gydag 8 gôl.
Danfonwyd Neil Gibson o adral dechnegol Prestatyn gan y dyfarnwr Nick Pratt.

Newtown (Y Drenewydd) 0 Aberystwyth 0

Chris Hughes’ first home match in charge was delayed for 15 minutes due to a local traffic accident – and ultimately ended with another valuable point being gained by the Robins. Newtown finished the game with 10 men as Andy Jones was sent off for a challenge on Mike Lewis.
This draw keeps Newtown in 4th position and Aber remain 6th on goal difference.

Dechreuodd yr ornest hon chwarter awr yn hwyr o ganlyniad i ddamwain ffordd – a daeth i ben gyda’r ddau glwb o’r canolbarth yn rhannu’r pwyntiau.
Danfonwyd Andy Jones o’r maes am drosedd ar Mike Lewis yn hwyr yn y gêm ac mae’r canlyniad cyfartal yma’n cadw’r Drenewydd yn bedwerydd ac Aber yn chweched.
