Bernie McNally has left Newtown
Newtown Football Club have confirmed Bernie McNally will leave the club to take up the role at Shrewsbury Town as Head of Youth.
McNally will leave his role as manager of the club following next Saturday's home clash with Port Talbot Town.
Following a board meeting on Thursday night, the Newtown board said that they were extremely proud of the role that has been presented to McNally and it shows that he is held in high esteem for his work at the club.
Club Secretary Owen Durbridge thanked McNally for everything he had done at the club and wished him well in the future. He added that the players will be gutted, but will lift themselves ahead of this weekends game with Bala Town.
McNally will be going back to an old stomping ground, as he played for Shrewsbury in his playing career, and will now take up this role in the youth set up at the club.
