Chris Budrys scored the only goal
Airbus UK Broughton extended their lead at the top of the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a second-half Chris Budrys goal.
Over 600 visited the Bookpeople Stadium on a very wet evening as the Wingmakers registered a tenth match unbeaten this season. The hosts' best chances in the opening half came from a long range Declan Walker effort and Jamie Petrie. Airbus had their chances too, but it was on the stroke of the break when they had their best effort, but Lee Idzi saved after Ryan Wade's good run and shot.
Six minutes after the interval, Chris Budrys continued his excellent run of form to give the visitors the lead as the burly Scot finished from close range following a Steve Abbott assist.
The Citizens were awarded a penalty on the hour by the Maltese exchange referee, but the host's leading scorer missed and Declan Walker failed to take advantage of the follow up. That proved to be the best chance for Nev Powell's side as they were unable to equalise and the visitors went home with all three points.
