Bala Town's historic victory over FC Levadia Tallinn has given Prestatyn ' belief ' that they can also record an European debut victory on Thursday night as they challenge SK Liegpajas Metalurgs at Rhyl FC on Thursday the 4th of July.
Neil Gibson told the Corbett Sports WPL Official website that: 'Bala's victory was great for Welsh football and for our League as well. I couldn't make it to the Belle Vue to see their victory because we were training - but I contacted Colin Caton to congratulate him when I heard the result.'
The goodwill and co-operation between the Welsh European representatives has exteded even further as Airbus' assistant manager Andy Morrison has prepared a dossier on Metalurgs for Prestatyn.
Morrison watched them draw against Airbus' opponents FK Ventspils in Latvia last week and was more than happy to lend a helping hand to Prestatyn.
'Andy and Airbus have been a great help in our preparation' Gibson said and added that 'we're really looking forward to a huge night. Let's hope that we can repeat Bala's victory at the Belle Vue and that Airbus can secure a Welsh double over the Latvians at Wrexham on Thursday as well.'
Mae buddugoliaeth Y Bala yn erbyn FC Levadia Tallinn wedi rhoi cred ychwanegol i Brestatyn y gallan nhw ennill eu gornest gyntaf erioed yn Ewrop hefyd.
Mae Andy Morrison o Airbus wyliodd Metalurgs a gwrthwynebwyr bechgyn Brychdyn sef FK Ventspils yn herio'i gilydd yr wythnos ddiwethaf wedi paratoi adroddiad ar arddull chwarae Metalurgs i Brestatyn. Y gobaith yw wrth gwrs y bydd dwy fuddugoliaeth Gymreig dros ddau glwb o Latfia'n digwydd nos Iau y 4ydd o Orffennaf.
