Emily Brown has been included in the Welsh Women's Senior Squad for the first time as Wales prepare to face Slovakia in Bratislava this week.
Cardiff Met striker Brown told the FAW's website that she "is very excited to be given the opportunity to respresent my country".
Brown is one of four Welsh Premier Women's League players to be included in the squad for the two matches against Slovakia. Cardiff City's Lauren Price, Lauren Hancock and Catherine Walsh the other three WPWL representatives.
Emily Brown believes that this shows that the standard of our National League is improving;
"“Its been a very close competition with the top three teams, and the standard has definitely been raised compared to last year. Also with the North and South combining it has created more competition for us. It was an exciting end to the season but it was disappointing to lose out on the last game especially on goal difference but we fought to the end”
The matches will be played on the 17th and 19th.
Mae Emily Brown o glwb Met Caerdydd yn gobeithio ennill ei chap llawn cyntaf yn un o'r ddwy ornest yn erbyn Slofacia ar yr 17eg neu'r 19eg o'r mis hwn.
