Prestatyn Town have signed experienced defender Sean Hessey from Conference side Barrow.
The 34-year-old Prescot-born defender will bring a wealth of experience to Bastion Gardens from a 16-year career in the pro ranks.
Hessey started his footballing life as a youth player with Liverpool before moving on to Leeds United and Wigan Athletic although he failed to break into the first team at either club.
In the summer of 1998 he moved back over the Pennines from Wigan to Huddersfield Town where he made 11 Football League starts then signed for Scottish Premier side Kilmarnock where he turned out 44 times (scoring once) between 1999 and 2004.
His next move saw him head south to Blackpool then in 2004 he joined Chester City where he established himself as a real fans' favourite, making 79 appearances in the blue and white shirt.
