Bala Town striker Lee Hunt is hoping that he can help the Lakesiders create history on Saturday by securing their first ever European adventure – and at thirty years of age realises that this could be his last chance to taste European action once again.
‘The Corbett Sport Europa League Play-Off Final at Port Talbot is “very important to Bala Town as we try to create a new chapter in the club’s history.”
Bala lost 2-1 to Llanelli in last season’s Play-Off Final with Hunt scoring the Maes Tegid outfit’s only goal – but he firmly believes that they can go that one crucial step further this season by beating Port Talbot on their own patch.
‘This year we’ve got a more positive mentality going into this game. We’ve just won twelve games in a row – so it’s going to be difficult for them to beat us on Saturday. I’ve played in Europe four times now (for Bangor and Rhyl) and I know that I possibly only have a couple of seasons lft in me so it would be brilliant if I could help take Bala Town to Europe’.
