Matty Williams has extended his Saints deal
Champions The New Saints have announced that three members of their Title winning squad have all signed extensions to their current deals.
"(We) are delighted to announce that Matty Williams, Kai Edwards and Connell Rawlinson have all put pen to paper and have signed new contracts for the club," wrote a club statement on Thursday afternoon.
Former Man United youth team player Williams who previously played for Notts County, missed a large part of the campaign following knee surgery but contributed greatly in helping The Saints win their seventh League title, scoring a memorable hat-trick against Prestatyn Town.
Defender Edwards, who only joined the club at the start of the season after Neath's demise, was voted the Young Player of the season after an impressive first year at the Oswestry based club. The versatile defender was a trainee with Neath and also gained WPL experience at Prestatyn on loan before his release from Wrexham. He has also captained the Wales semi-pro under 23 side.
Young central defender Rawlinson, who is highly regarded at Park Hall, joined The Saints in July 2010, and will be keen to play a role in the new campaign having had limited appearances last season due to the form of Steve Evans, Phil Baker and Kai Edwards.
One player who has left the club is youth team graduate Tom Allen who has been released. The midfielder, who is a Wales Futsal International, had been on loan at Cefn Druids this season. Director of Football, Craig Harrison, said; "Everyone associated with the Football Club would like to wish Tom the best of luck in the future."
