Bala Town continued their excellent form in the Play-Off Conference to go eight points clear with Lee Hunt scoring twice and setting another up another as Bala Town beat Connahs Quay 5-0 at the Deeside Stadium on Friday evening...
After Steff Edwards went narrowly wide for Bala, the in-form striker Hunt struck in the fifth minute to hand the visitors the lead.
Steven Brown was then denied as his effort, having cut in from the right, hit the bar, before the nomadic forward Hunt was denied by home 'keeper Jon Rushton, but from the rebound Ian Sheridan doubled the Lakesider's advantage to make it 2-0.
Brown looked dangerous every time he touched the ball and he got his rewards with the third on 39 minutes and Hunt capped off a fine half with his brace and the visitors' fourth two minutes before the break.
Stuart Jones struck the fifth three minutes after the interval and although the floodgates could have opened, there were no further goals, but Colin Caton's men look unstoppable now in the race for seventh place.
