Carmarthen Town midfield player Jonathan Hood has been transferred to Welsh League club Caerau.
Hood, 22, had joined the Old Gold from Afan Lido in January 2012 making 21 Welsh Premier League starts and scoring six goals. He had previously played for Hereford United, Bryntirion Athletic,Ton Pentre and Caerau who he has rejoined.
His most notable contribution to the team came earlier in the season when Carmarthen played away at Airbus Broughton. Early in the match goalkeeper Steve Cann fell awkwardly and dislocated his shoulder. Hood took over between the sticks and pulled off numerous remarkable saves in a deserved 2-1 victory.
Manager Mark Aizlewood was sorry to see Hood leave the club but thought it would be the best move for the player's career. "Jon has been hugely unlucky with injuries since he joined us and, along with suspensions, he had moved down the pecking order within the squad."
"He has considerable talent and once his injuries eventually clear up he will be of benefit to his new club."
