Geoff Kellaway has signed for Carmarthen
Carmarthen Town manager Mark Aizlewood has made his third signing of the January transfer window by getting Llanelli striker Geoff Kellaway, 26, to put pen to paper.
"Along with General Manager Kevin Morris I have talked to a number of players during the past week," said Aizlewood, "and I am pleased that my first choice has decided to join the Old Gold. Geoff will bring a wealth of experience to the club and I know that he is the sort of player who will blend in well with the squad."
English born Kellaway has previously played Welsh Premier League football for Aberystwyth Town and Llanelli making a total of 157 appearances and scoring 33 times.
In 2010 he moved to Australia signing for Victorian League side Dandenong Thunder making six appearances and scoring once. He then moved up to the national A-League with Melbourne Victory. He made his debut for the club during a 2-2 draw with the North Queensland Fury, so becoming the 500th player to make an appearance in the A-League.
Kellaway's signing is in addition to Aizlewood's two other captures. He took Luke Cummings from Bath City and Chris Doidge from Barry Town. "Kevin has worked extremely hard to get these three players. The squad is now more or less complete," said the Carmarthen manager. "Geoff will be the icing on the cake as we go for a top six league position and further progress in the Welsh Cup."
