Llanelli Manager Bob Jeffrey has made his fifth signing of the transfer window, with former Cardiff City and Oxford United central defender Alex Evans joining the club from Cinderford Town.
The 20 year old started his footballing life at his local side Treharris Western before joining the Cardiff City Academy at just 9 years of age. He was to spend the next ten years at the club and graduated to a professional contract in 2011/12, making his competitive first team debut in a 3-1 win against Oxford United in the Carling Cup Second Round in front of a crowd of 5435 at the Kassam Stadium.
In summer 2012, he left Cardiff City and joined Oxford before unsucessful short-term spells with Bath and Cinderford. Evans has also won honours for Wales Under 17 and was called into the Under 21 squad for the game against Montenegro in 2011.
Evans follows Lee Hartshorn, Nicky Holland, Scott Evans and Ariel Mrowinski as new arrivals at Stebonheath Park.
Ashley Evans, Lee Surman, Martin Rose, Luke Bowen, Antonio Corbisiero and Chris Venables have all departed since the window re-opened in January.
