Only two games managed to beat the weather in the WPWL this Sunday as the games at Wrexham, Newcastle Emlyn, Northop Hall and Caernarfon were postponed.
SWANSEA CITY 1 LLANIDLOES LADIES 2
Llanidloes beat Swansea by the same score on the opening day of the season. On this occasion Jenny Broughall put the visitors ahead after 30 mins as se claimed her first goal of the season.
Gemma Lloyd doubled Llani's lead and her personal tally for the season 6 minutes after the break - and Chloe Lewis' injury time goal wasn't much consolation for Swansea.
PORT TALBOT TOWN 2 CARDIFF CITY FC 3
The Bluebirds won the reverse fixture by 6-0 at Leckwith in September and have kept on winning since. Sunday's victory at the GenQuip Stadium saw them notch their 9th straight league victory of the season but they had to rely on a late flurry to secure the three points.
Rachel Rowe put the visitors ahead after 13 minutes but two goals in in a seven minute period from Jess Curran (19 mins) and Coryn Sexton (26 mins) put Port Talbot in the driving seat.
The home side held on to the lead until the final five minutes when Amy Wathan pounced twice (86 + 88 mins) to preserve Cardiff City FC's perfect start to their season.
