Kris Thomas joins Bangor from Llanelli
Nev Powell has completed the signing of Llanelli defender Kris Thomas who had his contract terminated by Llanelli today.
The former Wales Semi-Pro International links up with the League's second-placed club after a two-and-a-half year spell with the Reds, which was his third stint at Llanelli.
Previously, Thomas rejoined Llanelli in the 2009/10 close season from Carmarthen Town. The defender had re-signed for the Old Gold in January 2009, just under six months after leaving the club for Forest Green Rovers.
He will be hoping that Bangor become the third club that he plays for in Europe, having signed an 18-month contract at the BookPeople Stadium.
The former Cwmbran and Merthyr Tydfil player has previously represented Llanelli and Carmarthen in Europe and he scored an outstanding goal in the Intertoto Cup for Carmarthen Town at Newtown against Tampere of Finland.
After a tremendous 2006/07 season with the Old Gold, he was selected for the Wales Semi Professional Squad in 2007 in the Tournament in Inverness and played in the matches against Scotland (sub) and Ireland and he was again selected in 2008 and won five caps in total. He is also a former Welsh Under-18 international and was a Welsh Cup Winner in 2006/07 for the Old Gold and for Llanelli in 2010/11.
Also joining Bangor is midfielder Jamie McDaid from Holyhead Hotspurs. The teenager is also an ex-Caernarfon and Porthmadog playmaker, who played for Wales Under 18's last season.
