Bala Town completed the signing of former Welsh Premier League midfielder Glenn Rule after completing a successful trial period at the club.
Rule adds versatility to the Lakesiders as he can operate as both a full-back and a midfielder, becoming the clubs fifth summer signing following the arrivals of Les Davies, Eddie Toner, Andrai Jones and Evan Horwood.
Birkenhead-born Rule started his career at Chester making his debut against Carlisle United. He made 26 appearances before leaving Chester to sign for Northern Premier League side Colwyn Bay. Less than a year after joining Colwyn Bay, Rule left for Stalybridge Celtic where he registered 30 appearances for the Celtics.
After a year with Stalybridge, he signed for Airbus, where he made over 100 appearances scoring 12 goals. He left Airbus after four years to join Stockport County for an undisclosed fee but his season was cut short by injury and a 10-match FA ban for allegedly biting an opponent during a match against Stalybridge Celtic, limiting him to 21 appearances, netting 2 goals. Rule scored a memorable goal for Stockport County against Nuneaton back in 2015 as he hit a shot first time on the volley.
