Lee Idzi: 2017/2018 Biography & Statistics

Lee Idzi joined Carmarthen Town in the 2014 summer following a brief stint at his hometown club Merthyr Town.

Idzi joined Bangor City after he left Neath at the end of the 2010/11 season and he made his Citizens' debut against HJK in the Europa League in July. He announced in January 2012 that he would be switching to Manly Utd in Australia in April 2012 after the WPL season with Bangor.

He joined Neath from Haverfordwest County in January 2011 having spent three and a half seasons at the Bridge Meadow Stadium. He left County by mutual consent on transfer deadline day and he was quickly snapped up by the Eagles. The former Merthyr Tydfil 'keeper joined Haverfordwest in August 2007 as a replacement for Lee Kendall.

Idzi was at Cheltenham Town as a youngster and after spells at both AFC Llwydcoed, Britton Ferry and Bridgend Town in the Welsh League, he joined the Penydarren Park outfit. He arrived at the Bridge Meadow Stadium as a nineteen year-old with great potential. He is a strong shot-stopper with good distribution skills. Idzi kept a clean sheet on his Bluebirds debut against Caersws at the Bridge Meadow Stadium. After less than three months at the club and in the Welsh Premier League, Idzi was rewarded for an excellent start to his career with a call-up to the Wales Under 23 Semi professional squad to face Italy in Varese on November 14th and won his first cap after coming on as a second-half sub. He was then a regular in the squad for the next three seasons.
