Aberystwyth Town announced the signing of Bangor midfielder Damian Allen in the 2018 January transfer window. The midfielder spent six years at Nantporth and made a great impression at the club in over 150 league appearances in the blue of Bangor.
Bangor City had announced that they signed Colwyn Bay captain Damian Allen in November, but he had to wait until January 2nd 2012 to make his debut due to the transfer window being closed. The Stockport-born player, progressed through the Centre of Excellence at his hometown club, Stockport County after being released by Manchester United, aged 14 and he made his mark in centre midfield. He made his debut for Stockport in a 2-0 defeat at Wrexham in 2004/05.
After a spell on loan at Royal Antwerp in Belgium, Allen joined Morecambe in August 2007. After a season at the club Allen was released by manager Sammy McIlroy and he signed for non league FC Halifax Town on the 7th October 2008. Allen signed a 12-month contract with Bury in July 2009 following a successful trial period with the club. but he didn't make any league appearances and was released at the end of the season. In July 2010, he then signed for Welsh club Colwyn Bay. where he impressed to become former boss Dave Challinor's captain and he was also rumored to be interesting professional Conference outfit Luton Town this season.
