Sion Edwards: 2017/2018 Biography & Statistics

Long-serving fans favourite Sion Edwards parted company with Bangor City by mutual consent in November 2017. The last-surviving member of Bangor Citys Welsh Premier League title-winning side of 2010/11, and a three-time Welsh Cup winner with the club, then joined Porthmadog in the Huws Gray Alliance.

Edwards had joined Rhyl on loan in January 2017 from Bangor City after a decade with the Citizens, but he was recalled by Bangor in February 2017, following a brief loan spell with Rhyl in January.

Edwards is a skilful left winger or midfielder who signed for Bangor City in the summer of 2006 having gained experience on Wrexham's books in his teens.

A former Wales Semi-Pro and junior international, Edwards has won the Welsh Cup and the Welsh Premier League with the Citizens.

Up to the 2016/17 season, Edwards, has made over 300 appearances for Bangor City. He was voted in to the Welsh Premier League teams of the season in both 2007/08 and 2008/09 campaigns. He was also awarded the FAW Clubman of the Year Award in October 2015 for his services to the club and was rewarded with a testimonial by City in 2016/17 season.
