Kick off:19:30 Friday, 20 Sept 2013
at Maes Tegid, Bala
Fixture Type: Welsh Premier League
Referee: Lee Evans
After three games without a victory Rhyl grabbed all three points at Maes Tegid on Friday night. The crucial moment of the game came in the 14th minute as Mark Cadwallader rose strongly to head past Ashley Morris from the edge of the Bala box and claimed his first goal of the season in the process.
It took 35 minutes before the Lakesiders came close to beating Alex Ramsay – but Dave Morley failed to register his first goal for Bala as his header missed the target by a matter of inches.
The second half was another competitive affair. Stephen Brown’s shot from the edge of the box hit the Rhyl woodwork after 69 minutes and that was the closest the home side came to sharing the spoils.
Bala Town’s fifth defeat in six games is not the start the Maes Tegid faithful had hoped for at the beginning of the campaign and they will hope for an improvement next week as they travel to Aberystwyth for S4C’s live game.
Wedi tair gêm heb fuddugoliaeth – hawliodd Y Rhyl y triphwynt ar Faes Tegid nos Wener. Peniad grymus Mark Cadwallader wedi 14 munud oedd eiliad allweddol yr ornest – ei gôl gyntaf o’r tymor newydd.
10 munud cyn yr egwyl y daeth cyfle gorau’r Bala o’r hanner cyntaf –ond method Dave Morley rwydo’i gôl gyntaf dros ei glwb newydd o drwch blewyn.
‘Roedd yr ail hanner yr un mor gystadleuol a phan darodd ergyd Stephen Brown bostyn Alex Ramsay wedi 69 munud ‘roedd ffyddloniaid Maes Tegid yn dyfalu nad oedd y duwiau pêl-droed yn gwenu arnyn nhw.
Felly pumed colled Y Bala mewn chwe gêm ac fe fydd Allan Bickerstaff a Colin Caton yn mynnu gwelliant ar Goedlan y Parc y Sadwrn nesaf wrth i’w tîm herio Aberystwyth yng ngêm fyw S4C.
