The New Saints put in a five-star performance to go five points clear at the top of the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League with a 5-1 home win over Connah's Quay.

Mike Wilde headed the hosts into a fifth minute lead from short range after his initial shot hit the bar. Teenage sensation Rhys Healey equalised for the Nomads just three minutes later though. Wilde then departed through injury, but Phil Baker was next in line to take advantage of a rebound to give the Champions the lead once more.

Sam Finley scored ten minutes after the break from distance, before Chris Marriott and Greg Draper sealed a comfortable win.
