Hughes Heads Aber's Equaliser

Glyndwr Hughes's 104th goal for Aberystwyth secured a valuable point for Tomi Morgan's men at Bastion Gardens.

Ross Stephens had given the home side an early sixth minute lead from the penalty spot before Matty Collins' lovely free kick on the half hour mark drew the Mid-Wales Seasiders level for the first time. The visitors were then close to taking the lead, but Jordan Follows' first-time strike from Hughes' lay-off clipped the far-post with Prestatyn 'keeper Jon Hill-Dunt a spectator.

Gareth Wilson regained the lead for Neil Gibson's men at the end of the opening period as he latched onto a through-ball from his manager to volley home.

After the break, there were chances at both ends, before Hughes headed a late equaliser for Aber and it could have been all three points for Aber, but Gavin Cadwallader's strike went narrowly wide in injury-time.
