at Maes Tegid, Bala
Fixture Type: Welsh Premier League
Referee: Huw Jones
RYAN Wade's second-half brace secured the points at Maes Tegid as the Wingmakers completed a four-day double over Bala Town.
With Andy Preece's side starting to gain the upper hand in the second half, Wade chased down a long ball and held off a challenge from defender John Irving before firing home from 12 yards.
And home keeper Ashley Morris was beaten again six minutes later when Wayne Riley did the donkey work, before being challenged by Steff Edwards, and the ball broke sweetly for Wade to beat Irving again and double the visitors' lead.
In between, Chris Budrys had a header from a right-wing corner ruled out for an offence spotted by referee Huw Jones.
The first half had been mostly forgettable, although the best chances were created by the Wingmakers with Riley's sharp shot parried by Morris.
The Lakesiders were reduced to long range efforts with Stephen Brown twice and Edwards sending shots high and wide.
Only a last-ditch tackle from Stuart Jones denied Budrys but keeper Ben Chapman did well to tip away a shot from former Airfield favourite Ian Sheridan who was set-up by Mark Jones.
Sheridan also sent another effort whizzing across the face of goal, but the Airbus defence kept Bala at bay in the second period.
Riley had an early chance after the break but blazed over the bar from a half-cleared corner and, once in front, Airbus were rarely troubled.
The lead was almost extended on several occasions, with Budrys heading inches wide of the near post from Tom Field's cross and then stopped by a last-ditch from Irving, who also prevented Riley from adding a third which would not have flattered the Airmen after an excellent all-round performance.
