The Lakesiders lost narrowly 1-0 on Friday night against the brand new Airbus side.
There have been numerous changes in Broughton over the summer with 15 new faces so beforehand we were unsure what the outcome would be.
Airbus came flying out of the blocks and Town´s defence was called into action early as Tony Davies headed Ryan Wade´s shot off the line.
Town then began to dominate with a couple of half chances by Mark Connolly whose shot was deflected and efforts by Mark Jones which went wide from crosses by Stef Edwards and Stephen Brown.
The home side opened the scoring on 18 minutes as a corner came into the box and was only half cleared for Wrexham loanee Steve Tomassen to bury home from 6 yards.
Jonah went close 10 minutes later before Airbus´s Toby Jones rattled the post just before halftime to send the home side in the lead at the break.
The second half began with Airbus pressurising again and it wasn´t long before Bala made their first change with Lewis Codling replacing Ross Jefferies.
Instantly the change helped improve Town´s performance as they were comfortably on top for the remainder of the match but just lacked putting the ball in the net!
Sheridan was booked as he accidentally fell over the Airbus keeper. Mark Connolly was then fouled which was a blatent yellow and freekick but nothing was given.
Codling shot straight at Chapman on 77 minutes and then Ian Sheridan headed inches wide after brilliant build up down the wing by Stephen Brown which was the best chance of the match to equalise.
Ryan Jones replaced Brown and he was immediately in the action as his pass to Sheds was saved 5 minutes from time.
A solid performance by the Lakesiders once again with plenty of chances created in the 2nd half which could´ve sealed the win or at least earn a point.
Part 2 of the Airbus double header is this Tuesday at Maes Tegid where no doubt the Lakesiders will want to rectify Friday´s result! Please come down and show your support and see the Lakesiders hopefully getting their first win!
