Bevan nets Winner as Old Gold come from behind

Centre-back Lee Bevan scored a 65th minute winner for Carmarthen, as the visitors came from behind to claim an important three points on the road.

Chris Mason scored the opener just two minutes before the break for the Lakesiders with his seventh goal of the season. But, the visitors were on level terms when Tim Hicks - who scored twice in a 3-1 win at Maes Tegid in this fixture last season - restored parity for Tomi Morgan's side.

In the dying moments, Carmarthen sub Darren Griffiths was sent off, but the ten men of Carmarthen held on for the maximum points. However, Port Talbot's win at Haverfordwest mathematically ruled the Old Gold out of the Top Six, but their win was still vital as their aim will now be a seventh-placed play-off spot.
