Saints end Away Voodoo in Seven Goal Thriller

In a seven-goal thriller, Matty Williams was the Saints' hero at Maes Tegid as he bagged a first-half hat-trick against the Lakesiders. The former Rhyl striker scored a brace on 8 and 17 minutes, before defender Shaun Kelly pulled one back for the hosts. After Chris Sharp struck on 34 minutes, Williams capped a fine first period for the visitors with his hat-trick to make it 4-1 at the interval.

Bala enjoyed the best of the second-period though after Colin Caton brought young striker Josh MacAuley off the bench for Mike Thompson. The ex-Tranmere Rover scored on 65 minutes and then with a penalty three minutes into stoppage time, but it was too little, too late for an unlikely point. The three points for TNS were their first on the road this campaign.
