Bangor City maintained their 100% Principality Welsh Premier League record as they won Saturday's live televised match in a seven-goal thriller in front of 1,030 spectators.
The Saints took the lead at Farrar Road with a quarter of an hour played. Danny Holmes' deep cross from the by-line found the head of skipper Steve Evans who perfectly placed his unopposed header into the top left corner, leaving Citizen's 'keeper Paul Smith standing.
The scores were level again in the 24th minute as a long Michael Johnston free-kick was headed across goal by Les Davies for Alan Bull to strike home against the post, much to the delight of the loud home support.
On the stroke of half-time Bangor skipper Jamie Brewerton headed the hosts' into the lead as he got the better of Connal Rawlinson at the far post.
Things got even better for the hosts in the second half with two more goals to cap a fine afternoon. Just after the hour, striker Jamie Reed scored an outstanding individual goal to make it 3-1 and then a long Chris Roberts throw just caught the top of Christian Seargeant's head on its way to the back of the net for 4-1.
TNS sub Alex Darlington headed a second for the Saints with six minutes to play from a Craig Jones cross and there was more drama later on as Jones volleyed in at the far post from a Matt Berkeley cross and Jamie Wood flick on 90 minutes. It was just too little, too late for the Champions as Nev Powell's side further enhanced their Title credentials.
