TNS coasted to a comfortable win against a poor Carmarthen team, in a match which resembled a training exercise at Park Hall. The hosts raced to a 4-0 lead inside 26 minutes with striker Matty Williams opening the scoring for the hosts on 12 minutes to register his first league goal of the campaign. Then, just seven minutes later Alex Darlington notched his third goal in as many games to make it 2-0 to the Champions. Two goals in as many minutes then ended the game as a contest on 24 and 26 minutes. Firstly, Old Gold skipper Dale Griffiths put through his own net and then Scott Ruscoe beat the hapless visiting 'keeper Mike Lewis.
After the break, it became 5-0 when midfielder Ruscoe registered his second of the match and not to be out done, Darlington struck his brace and his fourth of the campaign before the hour. With 66 minutes played, it was 7-0 as Matt Berkeley found the back of the net and Town managed to hold on to not concede any more in the final 24 minutes.
