Bangor City joined Port Talbot Town at the top of the table with their second win of the season in a five-goal thriller against Bala in front of the S4C live television cameras.
The Lakesiders took the lead with their first chance of the match when Chris Mason headed his first goal for the club from an excellent John Irving cross from the right with just six minutes played. It was honours even shortly after though, as Mark Powell lunged into Craig Garside just inside the box and Dave Morley scored his second penalty of the season on nine minutes.
Then, a minute later the Citizens were ahead as Chris Jones headed in from close range after Bala 'keeper Craig Vernon could only parry a Sion Edwards cross from the left.
It was 3-1 in the 36th minute when Alan Bull scored his first League goal. A long Paul Smith kick was headed o by Morley into Bull's path and he shook off a challenge from Danny Jellicoe before firing passed Vernon in the Bala goal.
Bala pulled one bacl with four minutes played in the second-half. Nicky Ward lost the ball in an attacking position from a good Mark Jones challenge. The Welsh International made a strong run and found Irving who crossed to sub Neil Fisher who finished well in the bottom right corner.
With twelve minutes to go, Mark Jones brought the best out of Paul Smith with a free-kick from 25 metres out, but the Bangor keeper kept it out.
