Bangor are bang on

BANGOR City maintained fortress Farrar Road, when they notched their ninth consecutive win in front of their own fans to compound Carmarthen Towns relegation concerns.

But this latest success by Nev Powells men was hard earned, as the hosts squandered an array of chances and looked suspect in defence too often.

Performing like potentially easy winners, City had developed a three clear goal command in the first half, with strikes by Lee Hunt, Sion Edwards and Jamie Reed. Hunts goal on 16 minutes was his first for the club, since rejoining from Rhyl, while Edwardss follow-up on 24 was from a Hunt cross and then Reed executed a glorious lofted shot over keeper Neil Thomas on 36.

Carmarthens fight back began when Sasha Walters scored in the 43rd minute, and then Craig Hughes put the visitors close to a point, with the second on 61, but Bangor held their nerve.
