Striker Chris Sharp scored a hat-trick as Bangor City registered three more important League points at Farrar Road against Elements Cefn Druids on Friday evening.
The ex-Rhyl forward opened the scoring by captalising with a one-on-one chance to bury the ball passed Druids' keeper Chris Mullock with 14 minutes played.
The second goal came from a corner and after the ball was struck against the bar, it was the half-cleared from the line, before Sharp was on hand to get the last touch and make it 2-0. He had his chance to complete the hat-trick before the interval, but Mullock managed to keep him out following another one-on-one chance.
The visitors were given hope when young striker Josh Griffiths scored an excellent goal with an unstoppable strike from 25 yards into the to corner, which left Paul Smith no chance in the Bangor goal.
Sharp had the opportunity to complete his treble, when Jamie Reed was brought down in the box by Druids' player/manager Waynne Phillips and Lee Evans awarded the penalty. Sharp made no mistake to claim the match ball on a great night for the 23 year old.
The win sees the Citizens - who gave Nicky Ward his debut - climb to sixth in the table, whilst the Druids remain in seventeenth.
