Elements Cefn Druids have to look back as far back as the summer for their last victory and Lady Luck deserted them again as they flopped to a 1-0 defeat at home to Carmarthen Town.
The South Walians took the lead in the 13th minute - a corner from the right taken by Danny Thomas was glanced past Cefn 'keeper Rob Thomas from close range. To their credit the hosts responded positively and Lee Jones tested Neil Thomas, who gathered cleanly. Carmarthen finished the opening half the better side with Craig Hughes and Nathan Cotterall both guilty of wasting good chances.
Cefn did improve as the game went on and they deserved to have levelled but an effort from Andrew Edgar off a long throw from Adam Hesp had the keeper back pedalling and he was able to clear the ball to safety. Edgar was again involved in another good attacking move and his effort was eventually cleared for a corner.
One win in 14 outings doesnt make pretty reading and it is going to take a miracle for ex-Wrexham stalwarts Wayne Phillips and Lee Jones, in charge at Plaskynaston, these days to turn things around.
