Two goals from Andy Moran and a superb solo effort from Mike Parker put the Seasiders into second place in the Welsh Premier League table this evening after their 3-2 win over Gap Connah's Quay. Town held a 3-0 lead on 86 minutes but late goals from Mike Hayes and Chris Herbert ensured the Deesiders made us battle to the end.
After a first half which produced little in the way of clear-cut chances, Town came out in the second half with all guns blazing and went ahead on 48 minutes when Moran latched on to a long through ball and chipped keeper Terry McCormick from the edge of the box.
Shortly after he bagged his second from the penalty spot after Alan Hooley had felled Alec Williams in the area then with six minutes to play Parker set off on a fine run which took him past three defenders and ended with a clinical finish that gave McCormick no chance .
But the resilient Deesiders fought back as Town seemed to switch off and goals from Hayes and Herbert ensured a tense few minutes until the final whistle.
