Youngster Morris sends Old Gold on Way

CARMARTHEN TOWN lifted the gloom of recent weeks with a 2-1 win at Prestatyn Town to confirm a fourth-place finish in the Principality Welsh Premier.

Ben Morris, on only his third start of the campaign, put the visitors ahead with a 41st-minute effort as Andy Davies desperately tried to clear off the line. It was 2-0 in the 62nd minute, Nicky Palmer blasting a 25-yard shot that whistled into the net. Ian Griffiths (86) replied for the hosts, but it was just consolation as the visitors held on.
