Caernarfon get glimmer of light
Mar 23 2009 by Our Correspondent, Western Mail

Whether this victory proves to be a lifeline for Caernarfon Town only time will tell but manager David Rowe clearly sees the green shoots of revival.

"This great result has given us a glimmer of hope. I believe only one team will come up this season so our target is now to catch Caersws," he said.

"They are only six points ahead and we have six games to catch them so its achievable."

Three successive defeats have re-ignited relegation concerns at Y Traeth but their five point cushion on Caersws should ensure their safety.

A magnificent Ashley Ruane opener and further goals from Neil Carroll and Ryan Davies (own goal) set up the Canaries although they had Ian Dawes sent off late on. Marc Lloyd Williams replied to take him to 299 Welsh Premier goals.
