Chris Sharp again proved the difference between the sides as Bangor took the spoils in a clash at Park Avenue that saw three players sent off and 10 bookings.
The striker bagged a hat-trick when the Citizens prevailed in the Loosemores Cup earlier in the month, and was again on target as well as playing his part in a second goal for Michael Walsh. A niggly encounter of little flowing football saw Sharp fire a 29th-minute opener to give the visitors the edge.
Aber, who have now picked up just one point from their last five outings, hit back on the stroke of the interval when Glyndwr Hughes lobbed home after good work from Chris Venables.
But Bangor got their noses back in front three minutes after the interval when Sharp's cross was blocked before being converted by Walsh. After that the encounter became increasingly acrimonious, with referee Andy Harms sending off three players.
First, Bangor defender Jamie Brewerton was red-carded on 55 when, having earlier been booked, he was dismissed for violent conduct. Aber then saw red themselves just seven minutes later, with Gareth Hughes sent off for swearing at referee Harms. Then nine minutes from time the hosts were reduced to nine men when defender Christian Edwards was given his marching orders.
