Rhyl show gulf in class against Canaries

It was a stroll in the park for Principality Welsh Premier leaders Rhyl against bottom side Caernarfon Town.

The gulf in class was plain to see as the Lilywhites netted twice in each half to stretch their lead over Llanelli to four points with 10 games remaining.

Manager Alan Bickerstaff is still taking a precautionary stance saying; "Theres still 30 points to play for and we still have to meet Llanelli and TNS."

Nevertheless, eight wins on the trot has thrown down the gauntlet to the two professional clubs who have monopolised the championship since Rhyl last won it five years ago. Although the Canaries had Marc Dermott red carded in the 63rd minute they were 3-0 down at that juncture, Greg Strong, Luke Holden and Paul O'Neil on target.

And, with three minutes left, Mark Connolly added to the visitors' woes when he beat 'keeper Lee Guinion to the ball to neatly score the fourth.
