Murray right on cue for Prestatyn

TEENAGE super-sub Karl Murray's 79th-minute equaliser rescued a well-deserved point for Prestatyn against a Bangor side which played the last half hour with 10 men.

City led twice at Bastion Road but were unable to deprive the Seasiders of their undefeated home record. The visitors struck first after 12 minutes when Les Davies fed strike partner Chris Sharp who rounded keeper Jon Dunt and coolly slotted home. Prestatyn levelled on 17 minutes when a dreadful error from Jamie Brewerton allowed Ian Griffiths a clear run on goal to fire past Paul Smith. Town should have led on 35 minutes but Griffiths somehow spooned over from two yards.

Straight from the second-half restart the Prestatyn defence opened up and Sharp put in Davies to finish from 12 yards. The visitors suffered a blow on 58 minutes when Dave Swanick received a second yellow card after a bad challenge on Jack Lewis. It was against the run of play when Dan Evans' cross arrived at the feet of Murray, who netted from close range.
