SUPER-SUB John Toner struck a late double as The New Saints continued their unbeaten campaign with a hard-fought victory at Park Hall.
Toner, having bagged a late goal in the previous week's win at Carmarthen, struck twice in as many minutes to stun the visitors. Saints' manager Andy Gale acknowledged a hard battle. "It was the same last week as we stuck to our task and took our chances," he said.
The breakthrough came on 78 minutes when Scott Ruscoe floated a free-kick from the left to the far post, Phil Baker headed to Michael Wilde, whose volley was glanced into the net off Toners head.
Sion Edwards replied for Bangor with a sweet 90th-minute volley and Bangor boss Neville Powell felt his side were unlucky to lose.
