Aber lose Unbeaten Record as Old Gold go Sixth

Aberystwyth Town 0 - 3 Carmarthen Town
Tim Hicks (7), Paul Fowler (62), Sasha Walters (86)

Aberystwyth Town were beaten for the first time in the Principality Welsh Premier League this Season as Carmarthen Town stunned the Seasiders at Park Avenue tonight. The result means that Carmarthen leapfrog Aber and are up to sixth in the Table.

The visitors made a great start as striker Tim Hicks scored his third League goal of the campaign after just seven minutes with an unopposed header. Just before the interval, the hosts were dealt a real blow when skipper Bari Morgan was sent off for a two-footed challenge.

The Old Gold went in at the break with their slender lead, but just after the hour mark, midfielder Paul Fowler celebrated yesterday's call-up to the Wales Semi Professional Under 23 side with a goal inside the box to double the visitors advantage. Fellow midfielder Sasha Walters capped a fine evening with a third as he raced through with four minutes remaining.
