Golden Graham sinks Nomads

One of the Welsh Premier League's greatest ever-marksmen, Graham Evans pulled off another scoring double to land Aber the points and end Nomads' brief unbeaten league record.

Looking for their third straight win, the hosts found themselves trailing inside 16 minutes when a through ball from Sion James found crackshot Evans waiting to blast home a spectacular volley from 20 yards, well wide of keeper Chris Maxwell.

Aber had strong claims for a penalty turned down shortly after but Nomads picked up in the second half with Danny Forde, Liam Loughlin and Phil Clarke all going close, but against the run of play Evans popped up again to score what proved the winner.

Sub Andy Evans provided the opening for sure-fire Evans to bury the ball low into the bottom corner on 83 minutes. Back came battling Nomads for Christian Courtney, returning from injury, to collect a cross from Tommy Mutton and jink his way through the crowded box for a fine goal a minute later.
