Jack the Lad scores again in Bluebirds Draw

<1r>Young Striker Jack Christopher was the hero for Haverfordwest as he scored his third goal in as many matches to give the Bluebirds their first point of the season.

Carmarthen Town made the best possible start when Danny Thomas scored after just four minutes. The club's record League scorer registered his 38th League goal in Old Gold colours. The forward applied the final touch after Tim Hicks had beaten Lee Idzi to Richard Hughes' ball into the box. But the hosts almost levelled on the half hour when Tyrrell Webbe's angled lob glanced off the upright after he beat the cover to a long ball.

They took the lead into Half-Time, but just seven minutes after the interval County striker Christopher continued his excellent scoring record to draw things level. Town's Paul Fowler was dispossessed and the hot-shot finished well cutting-in to fire past Thomas and level the score.

Defender Lee Jarman made his first Welsh Premier appearance for County, six years after he last featured in the League in the Championship-winning Barry Town side of 2002/03.

For the visitors, ex-County boss Deryn Brace made four changes from the side that beat the Bluebirds in the Loosemores Cup in midweek. Phil Cattlin, Stuart Roberts, Neil Smothers and Lee Hudgell all made way for Liam Hancock, Paul Fowler, Sasha Walters and Nathan Cotterrall respectively.
