Rich is Newtown's Super-Sub

Striker-light Newtown ended their long wait for a win as a second half goal by substitute Richard Williams-Cooke secured a much-needed boost at Latham Park. The faltering Robins had not won since prevailing at Llangefni in January, but took the spoils in a sluggish affair in their last home outing of the campaign.

The decisive action of a game of few clear chances came midway through the second half when Adam Worton played his pass down the left, the ball bounced up off defender Timmy Edwards and Williams-Cooke pounced as he put his shot across 'keeper Chris Mullock. With little at stake, Druids had the better of the first half, with Osian Jones heading wide while former Wrexham man Karl Connolly shot wide.

After the break, the visitors saw Edwards head over while Chris McGinn had a free kick saved by keeper Dave Jones. Newtown had little impact, but the appearance of Williams-Cooke as substitute did the trick.
