BANGOR maintained their push for a top-four finish with an emphatic victory at Plas Kinaston which leaves the Druids looking over their shoulders at the basement pack.
Ashley Stott led the rout with a four-goal blast, including a first-half hat trick, as the visitors dominated. The Ancients were continually carved open with Stott firing the opener from the edge of the box on nine minutes before heading home a cross from Les Davies eight minutes later.
Looking sharper and more incisive, City grabbed a third goal on the half-hour when Chris Seargeant's speculative lob eluded goalkeeper Chris Mullock. The romp continued three minutes later when Stott waltzed his way through the home defence before firing past the keeper. Bangor then completed their nap-hand five minutes before the interval when Davies skinned defender Timmy Edwards before blasting his shot into the net.
The Druids' defence endured a torrid night as they battled to contain the visitors, who broke forward at will. A couple of half-time changes steadied the ship a little for the home side and they pulled a goal back on 52 minutes when midfielder Geraint Lewis stabbed the ball home at the second attempt.
But that served as scant consolation as Bangor made it six on 66 minutes, with Stott grabbing his fourth goal when turning Waynne Griffiths before planting his shot beyond keeper Mullock.
