There was a much needed win for Newi Cefn Druids, who triumphed by 3-0 over an out-of-sorts Newtown. The hosts scored all three goals in an eventful First-Half as the Robins missed the experienced Hugh Clarke at the back, who was suspended.
The Ancients took the lead in the second minute of the match, when Andrew Edgar struck. The advantage was doubled just ten minutes later by striker Darren Williams and then experienced defender, Tim Edwards put the result beyond doubt 10 minutes before the break. The result moves Druids up two places to thirteenth and just two points behind their opponents from this evening, who lie eleventh.
