Striker Chris Sharp scored five minutes after coming on as an 87th minute sub to finally put his horrific injuries behind him and cap a good win for Rhyl against Druids. The unfortunate youngster suffered an horrific double leg-fracture in Lithuania fifteen months ago in the UEFA Cup, which almost ruined his career. The whippet striker has slowly regained his fitness and when he scored this evening, it marked a tremendous recovery for the Scot.
Rhyl also reminded the Top Three that they still harbour Title ambitions as they disposed of their hosts at Plaskynaston. John Hulse has spoken of his side's lack of goals and poor clinical finishing, so he will be pleased that his side managed four this evening. They opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark when Marc Connolly scored. Paul O'Neil doubled the advantage after the hour and Andy Moran made it three shortly afterwards. Geraint Lewis gave the home side something to cheer about in the 90th minute by pulling one back for Druids. However, the biggest cheer of the night for visiting supporters occurred just two minutes later, when Sharp, who came on for Moran scored.
