Coombes sets Old Gold on their Way to Victory

Carmarthen Town continued their excellent form to maintain third spot in the League with a fine win at Park Avenue. In an evenly contested opening half, the only disappointment was the fact that it remained goal-less.

The deadlock was broken by the Old Gold when the impressive teenage midfielder, Gregg Coombes struck in 74 minutes. The ex-Cardiff City man works tirelessly for his side and he is contributing with goals as well, which will only delight his boss, Deryn Brace. Another ex-Cardiff City man, Danny Thomas wrapped things up for the visitors when he doubled the advantage two minutes into stoppage time as Aber pushed evryone forward to grab an equaliser.
