Sherbon Strike wins it for Aber

<1r>ABER'S Luke Sherbon silenced the thin Nomads crowd with a scorching winner eight minutes from the end to deprive the Deesiders of the point their battling performance deserved.

Nomads were relieved to see a Stuart Roberts header cleared off the line by returning skipper Gary Pinch, and a powerful shot from Aneurin Thomas rebound off the underside of the bar into the arms of keeper Paul Pritchard as Aber made all the early running.

Nomads recovered to go in front when star performer Wes Kilgannon fired home from a corner on 39 minutes, but Aber quickly levelled when Christian Edwards' powerful header took a deflection off the unlucky Pinch. Nomads mounted all the second-half pressure, and it was against the run of play when Sherbon raced through unchallenged to fire Aber's late clincher into the bottom corner from 16 yards.
